I was saddened to come across this notice today on FB. But also glad to see Tommie's smiling face one last time. I first met him, his beautiful wife & son when they came to St. Pius X to enroll in school. Tommie brought laughter, love and joy wherever he went. He truly showed God's love in his words and actions. I am sorry for your loss. He is now your treasured memory which fills your hearts. I'm glad I was blessed by his presence in my life. ??

So sorry to hear of Tommie's passing. Hadn’t seen him since our days at Mount Union. He helped me get through. He was Allen Iverson and Curly Neal rolled into one. He could make a basketball do magical things. His million dollar smile, sense of humor, and caring nature was unmatchable. I was searching the internet in an attempt to reconnect with him, then received word from classmate that he passed, I was devastated! Tommie made life at Mount Union a lot easier, and definitely fun! He and Reggie Eddie are in Heaven :Chopping It Up" My thoughts and Prayers are with the family..

My deepest condolences and prayers to Cecilia, his mother, sons' and host of family members and closest friends. I previously met Tommie in 1999 but didn't really get to know him until 2018 when I received the pleasure and honor to be his supervisor. Tommie demonstrated to all what a great man and servant of God he was. He was intelligent, always helpful, never hesitating to lend a helping hand. I was proud to learn that he retired and sorry to learn how short that chapter of his life. Tommie, you are truly going to be missed. I know that your legacy will continue with your sons' for I know what a great roll model you were to them. God bless you Cecelia, boys, mom and family.

(Still) In disbelief that I am sending a condolence in memory of my friend, Tommie Williams. I do so with proudly - with the honor and privilege of knowing that our friendship was genuine and stood the test of time from Randallwood Elementary School, thru me moving back home to Columbus, Ohio, in junior high, and we stayed in touch thru high school and adulthood and shared many games of 1-on-1 on the court whenever I’d be up his way… That was our thing: If I was in town we had to “get one in” for old-times sake! We had talked recently, and, of course, we mentioned hitting the court on my next visit. I’m comforted in knowing Tom is now lacing them up on God’s Court, and he and Reggie are saving me a spot for whenever I am called to join them. Mrs. Williams, Tommie, and Seth…. you’re in my thoughts and prayers. May God’s strength comfort you during this tough time. My condolences to all Tommie’s family, friends, extended family, and former teammates. God Bless!
