Tony Anthony Jackson, age 62, transitioned peacefully on Monday July 11, 2022, after an extended illness. He was born on September 11, 1959, in Waco, Texas to the late Willie L. Jackson and Doris Jackson. Tony was the middle child of three children.
As a child, Tony enjoyed playing peewee football for the Firestone Park Rams. He attended Akron Public Schools.
Tony worked as a furniture upholster until 1985, when he was severely injured in a car accident. After multiple surgeries and extensive physical therapy his recovery was beyond miraculous! Although Tony never fully recovered from his injuries, and he was unable to work. However, Tony lived on his own with limited supervision.
He was a strong and courageous man who overcame a lot of obstacles in his life. Tony was reserved and quiet – a loner who was often by himself. He enjoyed eating homecooked meals and wearing nice clothing. His favorite football team was the Dallas Cowboys.
For the past 9 years his sister, Pamela, and her husband, Lavel, has taken extremely good care of Tony. Pamela loved Tony unconditionally and made sure that he received the proper care needed for him to live as comfortably as possible.
