Tonya Laverne Royal was born September 25, 1972, to Berdine Royal and Robert Lee Foster. She has one sibling three sons and one daughter who preceded her in death. Growing up she was B.K.A. Tonya “D” a very talented individual decorating was her thing before these extravagant events we now see on TV. She had it on lock from setting up hotel rooms to party halls. If you’d call her she was coming to deck your event out…
Yes, she was going over the top because that’s what she’d do.
Tonya was definitely a people person and she loved all people genuinely. One smart cookie she definitely knew it all “She was always right! ??♀️?” But all jokes aside you can see it in her sons she did not play about them and that school work. Throughout her life, she’s worn many titles in the workforce and her personal life as a daycare owner, party decorator, mentor, mother, aunt, sister, daughter, best friend and so much more to those she has come in contact with.
A giver at heart she gave without hesitation. Many would never know that at times she didn’t even have anything to give, but because giving was her God-given calling she was going to make way to be a blessing to those she loved, even folks she didn’t personally know. This is/was the kind of person she has always been. She loved music as a teenager she would record herself on tape singing in that baby voice! Holidays were her favorite Easter, Halloween, and Christmas she was going to go all out while going through dialysis she made sure that every patient and staff had gift bags and snacks she’d have so much that she’d have Robert help her. This kind gesture put people in good spirits because of her thoughtfulness. We know this to be true because she did this with her family too. She never wanted to see people struggling or without.
Tonya departed this life on October 30, 2023, and her last message was “She was going home!” transitioning from labor to reward at 4:00 a.m. She is now joined together with her father, daughter, niece, cousins and so many of her loved ones who went on before her.
