Torri J. Marsh-Bailey, 66, was born on January 24, 1958, in Akron, Ohio to Patricia Jackson-Poteete and Eugene Marsh. Our sweet girl Torri made the transition to be with our Lord and Savior on April 1st, 2024. She was preceded in transition by her mother (Patricia), father (Eugene), dad (Cullen W. Poteete, Sr.), and Partner Jerry Moore.

Torri attended Akron Buchtel High School and served honorably as a Color Guard. Thereafter, she attended Hammel Actual Business College and worked in the Culinary Arts field as a Waitress and Cook, and also worked stints as a Landscaper, in addition to working as a nurse. In 1979 she married Terry Bailey, and to that union was blessed with three children (T’Ayon, A’Teriva, and Tricia). Torri was also a Foster Mother to Jennifer Rodgers and to her special niece/daughter Kim Mitchell as well.

Torri is survived by brothers Eugene C. Marsh, Jr., Bobby (Rae) Jackson, Cullen Poteete, and Bruce Poteete, all of Akron; sisters Carolyn Poteete, and Michelle Poteete-Bey of Akron; loving grandchildren Kyliyah, Nelijah, Eric, Ta’Kaiya, Alexander, Kayon, and many nephews, nieces, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.
