God came down and gave Trace-Shun L. Sibley his wings on Monday, August 9, 2021, when he went home to take his place in the mansion the Lord built just for him.
Trace-Shun (Shun) was born on August 23, 1980, to the union of Anthony Gulley and Tracy Sibley in Akron, Ohio. Shun attended school in the Summit County School District, graduating from Buchtel High School.
At the young age of 16, Shun began factory work which would later develop into a trade for the Laborers Union Local #894, and had been employed for many years until his passing. Outside of work, Shun had an array of hobbies to include: lawn care, carpentry, and a host of DIY projects. Shun also loved challenging others in corn-hole tournaments. He was also quick to say, “Let’s go bowling”, which was something he made “so fun.”
Shun was an adamant football fan and loved watching the Browns play on Sundays. If he wasn’t making people laugh, Shun was hosting family cookouts. He loved his family and those he called his friends.
Trace-Shun (Shun) united with Tiana Hatch and created a beautiful, blended family of six, with four children. When you are loved and you give love, as he did throughout his lifetime, you have many affectionate “aliases” you are known by. Some of his affectionate names were: Trace-Shun, T-Sib, Tre-Sib, Uncle Shun, Shun Boobies, Sib, Romeo, and Bae.
Shun will be best remembered for being the life of the party and he was guaranteed to make you laugh. He was a very creative person, and very helpful whenever called upon. He was a family man who kept to himself, yet remaining everyone’s favorite.
Giving honor to his mother, Tracy Sibley, for raising such a wonderful and respectable man with love; instilling the mannerisms we all knew him to have. Tracy was not alone in her teaching. Trace-Shuns’ grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Sibley, best known as “Grannyma and Popa”, also helped in the molding of Shuns’ character.
Trace-Shun was preceded in death by his sister, Nadia Cuellas; grandparents, James and Varnetta Sibley; great-grandparents, Ola Ruby Sibley and Hazel Reynolds.
He leaves to cherish in his loving memory mother, Tracy Sibley; father, Anthony Gulley; great-grandmother, Sandra Horton; brothers, Anthony (Charlene) Johnson, Prince-Tyson Gulley, Toneo Gulley, Tre Gulley, Taureen Spicer and Paul Miller; sisters, Takisha Sibley, Honei Mullen, Tanisha Sneed, Navia Quan, Naomi Davis, Tiona Howard and ToNaya Gulley; children, Treon Sibley, A’Shunae Sibley, Tylen Sibley and a bonus daughter, Ra’Niya Allen; god-children, Gibraunta Dowdell, Kemani Braziel and De’Masiyah Marshall; his loving fiancé, Tiana Hatch; special nieces, Air’Risha and Kay’Vion Sibley; special cousins, Clay Johnson, Victor Cox and Leonard Anderson; special nephew, Jeremiah Mullen; special friends, J.R., Amir and Andre, as well as a host of friends and other family members.
