Travontay Markell Hooks-Sanders was born in Akron, Ohio at 9:35 a.m. on Wednesday February. 7th 1996 to Anitrius Sanders and Gene Hooks (deceased). Although he spent six years as an only child he was never lonely, introducing Anitrius to motherhood, he enjoyed the devotion of his mother and grandparents and the company of his cousins which he grew up alongside of. He has a bunch of c before he welcomed his sister and eighteen months later he welcomed his brother. He was a devoted brother never holding a grudge against his younger siblings who seemed to enjoy terrorizing their older brother, he was gentle and patient with them guiding them through life before he left for college. He was a good student and did different activities during his time in school like choir, snow shoveling, and performing as the schools mascot. He graduated from Ellet high school in 2014 before leaving to Indiana for college where he studied electronics before he graduated with an associates degree. He was a child of God who attended St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church where he was baptized and continued to attend whenever he lived here in Ohio, eventually doing some security work with Brother Willie Smith before his last relocation
After graduating college he traveled to Michigan where he started his adult life with his friend from College Derek Robinson where the beginning of their brotherhood was forged. He always wanted to travel and after graduating and moving he did just that taking several trips throughout his life including road trips, cruises, and flights. Spending the time between his trips working gathering friends and being loved by friends and family.
Travontay, is survived by his loving mother Anitrius Sanders; Sister Ja’Liyaha Sanders; Brother Jah’Rese Sanders; Grandparents Dessie (Henry) Robinson, Tony Campbell, Sadie Stallworth Robert (Yvonne) Daniels; He also leaves behind a bunch of aunts, uncles, great aunts and uncles, cousins, and friends that he has gathered throughout the years.
On October 4th Travontay, was called home to be with the Lord next to his best friend Derek Robinson, and though he no longer resides where we can see him we know that he resides with our Lord and he find peace in the memories of him and the love he gave us will always remain.
