Troy L Williamson, 64, passed away at home September 11, 2026 surrounded by family after a hard fought 2 year battle with cancer.

Troy was the first of 4 children born to Frank and Hazel Williamson on September 7, 1962 in Akron, Ohio.

Troy was educated in the Akron Public School System and was a proud graduate of Buchtel High School class of 1980.

Troy was the life of the party. With his smile, personality and charm he won everyone over. He could sit and talk with everyone for hours!

Troy had a great relationship with his family and friends. His one and only daughter (June-Ya) was his everything!

Troy was very outgoing and did a lot of things that Multiple Sclerosis didn’t stop him from doing. He swam, danced and participated in M.S. walks.

Troy was preceded in death by his father Frank J. Williamson, grandparents, aunts, and uncles.

Troy is survived by his daughter, Charmyn King, his mother, (“My Mama!”) Hazel Williamson Clayton, his stepfather, Marvin Clayton, his brother, Derek Williamson, his sisters Franchelle (Kevin) Sopher, DeAnna Williamson and Cynthia (Bryan) Griffin, nieces, TraShawn, TaNaysha, Destiny, Dasia, and Taylor, bonus nieces LaShanda and Brittany, nephews, JayVaughn, DeSean, Lamar, Jayden, Christopher, and Cameron (Kristina). He is also survived by 1 great niece, 3 great nephews, numerous cousins, friends, and his Detroit family.
