Tyler C. Jackson, Jr. was born on October 7, 1952 in Cleveland, Ohio to Tyler Jackson Sr. and Clara Mae Jackson. He was a happy child who enjoyed playing sports and listening to his favorite group The Temptations. As a teenager at Glenville High School he and some of his classmates formed a group known as the Lodge Brothers. These young men would become lifelong friends. They enjoyed listening to Rock music, going to concerts, and spending time with each other. Tyler Graduated from Glenville High School in 1971, and remained a Tarblooder for the rest of his life.
In 1979 he married Shirley Jean Daniels. To their union was born one son Tyler Curtis Jackson III (TC) or as he was know to his Father, “Daddy’s Man”. In the early 1980’s Tyler began working for NASA Lewis Research Center. He remained with NASA for over 25 years.
In 1985 he was introduced to the Institute of Divine Metaphysical Research (IDMR). The IDMR is a religious and scientific research organization founded by Dr. Henry Clifford Kinley. He received a divine vision and revelation from God and established schools all over the world to teach the true Gospel of the Heavenly Father Yahweh. Tyler met hundreds of people in the IDMR through attending conventions and visiting other branch school. He remained a member of the IDMR until his health began to fail.
Some of Tyler’s favorite things were traveling, playing cards, spending time with his family, and watching the Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Browns play ball. He was a die-hard fan of both teams. He was the life of the party. He enjoyed dancing, listening to all types of music and talking smack on the card table. Toby or Uncle Tobe as many knew him as was loved and cherished by many. He will truly be missed.
Tyler leaves behind. His Devoted wife of 46 years Shirley Jackson. Children Edward (Terri) Babb Jackson, Victor Jackson of Los Angeles, CA, Vanessa (Jermaine) Moxley of Kent, OH, and Curtis Jackson. Step-Daughter Yolanda Harris. Grandchildren Krystalyn, Erika, Edward Jr. Ranita, Talisha, Jermaine Jr. Jazmine, Ashley, O’Neil, Laila, Shardai, Dymera and Delcenia. Great-Grandchildren: Jermaine III, K’Mani, K’Miya, Kameron, Robert, Ja’Shiya, Kamariah, Kashaad, Kamal, Adelynn, Ehlani, and Emari. Brother’s Ben (Ruby) Jackson of Birmingham, AL, William (Linda) Jackson of Atlanta, GA. Sister Bertha Chappell of Dayton, OH. MANY nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
