Tyrone Richard Brown was born February 2, 1953 in Akron, Ohio. He went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 14th after a long illness surrounded by family. He attended Akron Public Schools and graduated from South High School. Tyrone also attended Ohio State University.
Tyrone was saved at an early age, but rededicated his life to Christ last year. He was a member of Unity Holiness Church in Kenmore. Tyrone learned the trade of drywall finishing at the young age of 17, and worked in several States across the U.S. He became a master of his craft and taught it to his step-sons and anyone that was willing to learn it. Tyrone subcontracted his work and last worked in 2007 when he became too ill to work.
Tyrone met and married Katrina Edding, blending a truly remarkable family for 23 years. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends playing cards, chess, watching movies or sports on TV and listening to music. He was a big fan of the Cavs and Browns.
Tyrone was preceded in death by grandparents, his mother Jessica Esters and stepson Lawrence Edding II. He is survived by his wife, Katrina Brown; children, Tyrone (Patty) Nixon, Deondre (Sona) Nixon, Tajuane (Hassan) McMillan, Brandy (John) Thornton, Tyrisse Gibbs, Stormy Gibbs; step-children, Alecia Edding, Monica (Andrake) Joseph, Lamar Edding; brothers/sisters, Theresa (Pat) Adams, Terrance (Denise) Brown, Julius Brown, Kimberly Covington; In-Laws, Annie (Charles) Beecher, Stewart (Ethel) Satterwhite, Michael (Tracey) Page, Karen (Tyrone) Hilton, Joy (Frank) Wallace and Susan King. Tyrone had a beautiful smile and a big, kind and caring heart. He was always willing to help someone in need. He loved many and was loved by many.
