It is with sorrow that we announce the home-going of our loved one, VeEster Jackson on Tuesday, October 9, 2018, at the age of 64.
VeEster, known as Road Runner, was born on November 11, 1953, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas; child of Bot Tee and Gussie Lee Jackson. He attended Margaret Park Elementary, Thornton Junior High School, and South High School and received his diploma from Howard Vocational School in Akron, Ohio.
He was a dedicated employee for many years at both McDonalds and Church’s Chicken. He was a member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Akron, Ohio in the 1970s. He was unmarried and did not father any children but was a loving uncle to many. His passions and hobbies included watching basketball, football (fan of Pittsburgh Steelers and Ohio State), wrestling, reading, completing puzzle books, cooking, woodshop, board games, card games, coloring, and word search puzzles. VeEster was known for his sense of humor, compassionate spirit and his protective nature of his siblings.
VeEster was preceded in death by his maternal (Eugene Girley, Sr. & Mary Girley) and paternal (Joe Jackson and Leatisher Jackson) grandparents and brother (Todd Perkins).
He is survived by both his parents Bot Tee and Gussie Lee Jackson; five sisters; Novella Renae Jackson, Quincy Faye Jackson, Dixie Ann Jackson, Sue Martha (George, Jr.) Beard and Stella Marie (Charles) May; two brothers, Tonywanda (Belinda) Jackson and Grover Trent Jackson. He also leaves to mourn a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, aunts, uncles as well as many family and friends whom he loved dearly.
