Vera M. Reed was born September 21, 1939, to the late Samuel and Ada Bell in Allen, Alabama. Vera, passed away on January 12, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, and loving to all who had the pleasure of meeting her.

Vera accepted Jesus Christ at an early age, which guided her footsteps throughout her lifespan. She was a faithful worker in the church until her health started to fail. She served such jobs such as assisting the opening of New Missionary Baptist Church, along with Rev. Price, ushering, preparing the Lord’s supper, and she started a program in which she prepared dinners for the sick and shut in.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel & Ada Bell; daughters, Veronica McNeilly, Lanita Bell; grandson, Leland Bell; sisters, Maggie Bell, Maple (Calvin) Ruggs, Margaret (CB) Anderson, Helen (July) Ely; brothers, John Lee Bell, Bobby Bell, Archie Bell, Willie (Louise) Bell; special brother-in-law, Mose Chapman.

She leaves to cherish her memories sons, Ronald (Theresa) Bell,   Steven Bell; daughters, Carylon Lee, Angela Larkins, April Jennings; devoted granddaughter, Ashley Mingo; special sister, Gloria Ely; 5 Grandchildren, 13 Great-grandchildren, & a host of family and friends.
