Vernadette “Nook” Dial-Evans was born on July 13, 1959, in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Evelyn “Big Mama” Dial and Thomas “Heavy” Williams. She was third born of five children. Nook attended East High HS in 1979. Nook met Tyrone Evans, the love of her life, in junior high school and later married in 1979. Together they worked side by side as entrepreneurs owning restaurants, a candy store, real estate, and so much more. Nook retired as a tireless driver for Fed Ex. Together they spent the best 51 years of their lives building on love, respect, honor, and commitment. Truly, there was no doubt of the unfailing love they shared for one another.
Nook shared with the world her authentic self and had a special place in the hearts of many. She loved music, dancing, laughing, and spending time with family and loved ones. She leaves to mourn, her husband Tyrone Evans, her 3 sisters Avae, Veronica, Roni and brother Charles; sister-in-loves Tatiti and Freda; brother-in-loves, Jerome (Melanie) James (Christine), Mario (Sonia), Donald, Thomas, Preston (Angela), John Earl (Earline); Uncle Horrace Collins (Pat), aunts, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and so many more.
Throughout her life, Nook, a proud black woman, was a signal of strength and resilience. She will be missed by many and never forgotten.
