Our beloved Vernon Raymond Norman was born January 10, 1983, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Vernon Othello (Betty L.) Norman and Brenda Helane (Eugene) Norman-Miller. Vernon attended Akron Public Schools, where he earned his High School diploma. He earned his undergraduate degree in Business Technology from Akron Community Technical College, affiliated with the University of Akron.
Vernon, who was affectionately called ‘Vee’ by many, had a Millionaire mindset and was actively working towards making his dreams come true. He had a loving and caring spirit that transcended this life on May 24, 2020. His smile was infectious, and he quickly turned your cloudy day into a sunny one. Vernon was the type of person who wanted the best of everything, but he was willing to help and share what he had with others. He never met a stranger, and if you were fortunate enough to join his circle, you would quickly realize he was a man of integrity, wisdom, and valor. He was a very talented carpenter. He could take a shack and transform it into a mansion with ease. He loved transforming old things into something that everyone would marvel over.
He was a wonderful father to his three children (Tommy, Little Vernon, and Jaiden). He always ensured they had the best of everything. His children were what Vernon was most proud of. Not only did he want to give them material things, but he also cherished the time he spent with each of them; from attending sports activities, birthday celebrations, taking them places to create special memories, or just hanging out at the house playing basketball in the backyard. Our beloved Vernon was a son, brother, cousin, uncle, great uncle, loyal friend, and an amazing father. He was taken away too soon. He will truly be missed and live in our hearts forever.
He was preceded in death by his beloved Terri Rasberry, Uncle Marvin Rasberry, who raised and cherished him like his son, Uncle Anthony (Sylvia) Williams, and two nephews Brandon Eason and Devin Eason.
He leaves to cherish his memory his parents Vernon O. Norman and Brenda H. Norman-Miller; three sons, Tommy Reynolds, Vernon Reynolds, and Jaiden Norman; his siblings, Michael Norman, Lauri Eason, Verlea Norman, Nicole Banks, Ramia Fagalar and his special brother, Christopher Coleman; his nieces, Marquitta Norman, Zaria Smith, Dejuanna Banks, Kyra Smith, Anaiya Smith, Layla Alexander, Raziya Fagalar, and Brielle Brown; and nephews, Michael Norman, Jr., Bryan Eason, Alonzo Buckner, Nathan Banks, and Ardell Banks; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, great-nieces, and nephews whom he adored and adored him as well.
