Vivian Waters entered the world on November 25, 1924, the youngest of three daughters born to Annie Belle and Elmo Carter of Birmingham, Alabama.
Vivian found Jesus at a young age and attended Mortimer Street Church.
With her mother, who was the Sunday School teacher and church custodian, Vivian was an attentive child and a constant companion for her mother.
Vivian graduated from Parker High School and soon married Jessie Waters in 1945. They relocated to Cleveland, Ohio, and had three children: Cheryl, Jessica, and Bradley. Her husband, Jessie, preceded her in death in 1998, and her daughter Jessica preceded her in death in 2019.
Vivian joined Northeast Church of God, where she faithfully served as Usher Board President for 30 years and also as Sunday School Secretary.
Vivian leaves behind five grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
