Sonny will be greatly missed. He was so instrumental and angel to my family and especially my brother, Ervin in his last years. Our deep condolences for your family in the loss of Mr. and Mrs. Brunson. Our prayers and love remain with you. God hold you in his arms to console, protect you and give you peace in knowing their legacy will continue on—in greatness!

Sonny. I miss you so much. We worked together Lawton. We are all a family and you were the big brother to all of us. You made it possible for our youth to have a place to come and play ball. You believed in keeping kids safe. That legacy will continue. I will miss you and Dorothy as well. She’d always say, “Na Car-lin, you make sure Sonny don’t be working too hard up there!” You two were the highlight of Lawton and you both are missed so much. I could talk to you about anything in life. You are one in a million. Love, Your little sis. Carolyn

Ashley & Corey; not only did we work together, but I got to know your Mom (she had her own JC Penney store at home). Sonny was ALWAYS helpful, kind and was never one who wanted any fanfare for his generosity. He was a great pitcher for the All Stars, and coach at Lawton, spoiled his granddaughter (he admitted it) and so proud of his grandsons. Truly and honorable man. God be with you.

He was a great pitcher for the All Stars, and cared so much for the kids at Lawton, spoiled his granddaughter (he admitted it) and so proud of thesis grandsons. Always willing to help others and would not charge (or very little for his work. Truly and honorable man. God be with you.
