Wayne Anthony Moore was born in Cleveland Ohio, on February 3, 1939 passed away December 8, 2023. He was 84. Wayne was born to the late Adron and Esther Moore. He was the second of three children and it survived by his sister Adrienne Drake (Dan, deceased) and his brother Barry Moore (Betty). As a child he lived in a small community called Miles Heights, before it was annexed by the city of Cleveland. He also is survived by his niece Adrianna Glenn and nephew Darian Drake. He also had two great nephew Liam and Aiden Glenn.
He attended Beehive Elementary School and graduated from John Adams high school in 1957. Soon after graduation he began to work for the Cleveland Illuminating company. In 1962 he received his greetings from Uncle Sam, and he served two years United States Army. He retired from the Cleveland Electric Illuminating company in 1995.
He Love life and never limited himself to the things he wanted to do. In his early years, he enjoyed skiing and in his later years he was an avid golfer. He designed and built two hovercrafts, that were featured in Popular Mechanic magazine. Wayne also achieved the ranking of fifth Dan in Aikido. Wayne enjoyed sailing immensely. His last sailboat was Certified and named “AiKi” In honor of the discipline he received while Studying Aikido. (AIKI: meaning Life Force)
Wayne had a zeal for classic cars, from 60 Thunderbird to the Shelby Mustang, to a Chevy stingray, to his 1983 DeLorean, and the goes on and on. He was a good person, reliable, trustworthy, and non-political. He was devoted to his family, friends, and coworkers.
