Wileta D. Davis, age 85, went home to be with the Lord on December 18, 2022.

Wileta Davis was born on March 5, 1937, to Bessie and William Duncan in Cleveland, Ohio.
Wileta was educated in the Cleveland Public School System. She graduated in 1955 from John Adams High School, later attended Kent State University. She went on to pursue a career in modeling locally, after graduating as the class Valedictorian from the Eva Brown Modeling Agency.
She later met and married Harold Davis in 1962. Two daughters were born from this union, Monet Cielle, and Tracie Lynne.
Wileta confessed Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and was baptized. She became a faithful and loyal Charter Member of The Greater Mt. Ararat Missionary Baptist Church. She joined under the pastorate of the late Rev. C.W. Wilson. She was very active in her church home. Which she served as President of The Celestial and Mass Choir. She served as Chairperson of the New Members Social and Senior’s Ministry. She also served on various church committees as well as serving as a Trustee. She loved her church and was always suggesting ways to reach others. Her greatest Ministry was the Annual Testimonial Service.
Her work history included five years at the Department of the Army, and went on to become employed for 34 years for the Department of Veteran Affairs, where she retired in 2001. Wileta worked her way up from the mail room to becoming the Executive Administrative Assistant to the Chief of Staff.
She loved playing Bid Whist, working her crossword puzzles, going to the Oakwood Village Community Center, traveling, and watching the Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Cavaliers.
Wileta was preceded in death by her husband Harold Davis, parents William and Bessie Duncan, one sister Kathleen Williams, one nephew Edward Williams III, and one niece Kiara L. Williams.
Wileta leaves to cherish her memories, two daughters, Monet Cielle (Jeffrey), and Tracie Lynne (Craig). Four granddaughters, Sharell, Anita, Tamara, and Victoria. One grandson Jayden and one great grandson Chrishon. One niece Tiana Williams. Two adopted daughters, Verana Sanders and Karen D. Ellis-Hall and other relatives and friends
