William “Berry” Calhoun Sr. went home to be with the Lord on August 31, 2021, at age 70. He was born on September 7, 1950, to Robert Lee Calhoun and Cora Lee Calhoun in Detroit, Michigan.
William studied at Man Power Trade School for Welding. He had a passion for boxing and loved expressing himself by singing. He also enjoyed drawing and playing Bingo.
He was preceded in death by his loving father, Robert Lee Calhoun, and his mother, Cora Lee Calhoun.
He leaves to mourn his passing, beloved sisters, Roberta Head and Emma Oden. He is also survived by sons, William B. Calhoun Jr. (Tanika), Sheldon Calhoun-Owens (Belinda), Shahe Calhoun (Miyuana), Antwaine Vinson, Omar Williams, and William Williams; daughters, Monik Vinson-Swain (Tony), Shawnte’ Calhoun-Beecher; special friend, Tammatha Little, and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
