William Benjamin Hollis was born November 20, 1933, to the Late James and Mary Hollis, in Cataula Georgia. he is he joined the U.S. Marine Corps and was honorably discharged. He also bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy. He later became head of the Activity Therapy department at Fairhill mental health facility and retired from Cleveland Psychiatric Institute. He also was a referee for various basketball and football and umpired for baseball and softball for many years. He became a lifetime member of Alpha Psi Alpha Fraternity, and he was a Parishioner of St. Henry School and a member of the Parent Teacher’s Association. Also, the American Legion, Cleveland Umpires Association, Golden Gloves. He was an avid Bowler. He was on mixed leagues. While in tournaments he was the Bowling Champion twice, 1994 – 1995 and 1999 – 2000. William was proceeded in death by; his mother and father James and Mary Hollis and Sisters; Christine, Zadie, Emma, and Charlotte. Brother James, and nephews; Oliver and William.
