FR. Phil Bernier,, OFM Cap left a message on June 24, 2021:
Dear June, I was stunned and saddened to hear of Willie's passing into eternal life. It would be impossble for me to tell of all the encouragement, support and love that he gave to me as his pastor and also a friend. I always knew that in any situation, he was not only fully supportive but would be engaged in the work for the good of all. I trust that Willie is with the Lord and those he loved in this life. June, my prayers are for you, Lisa and Todd. Willie was one of a kind, in the best sense of that phrase and we are less with his passing, FR. Phil OFM Capl

Robert GRICE left a message on June 22, 2021:
Mr. Averyhart was my high school principal and he was that principal that every guy said: if I were to be a principal, I would be just like him: present, cool, understanding, but did not play. He found a way to teach without condescending. He helped me get back home to Cleveland one year when I wanted to come visit my family from my home here in France. He wassup there whenever I invited him, even if it was 20 years after he wassup my principal. Pure respect. Rest well. C/O '00

Thank you, Mr. Averyhart for your outstanding leadership. In celebration of your bountiful life, the world lifts your children as the torchbearers carrying your light. Your illustrious life cascades over your wonderful wife, who mirrored you in greatness, love and service. The world will most certainly be darker without your physical being (meeting you only once was such an impactful experience and hearing about you from your children cemented my thoughts), still there are rays from your sun that will prove your legacy steady. To the family, be encouraged, bask in the sacred light of bereavement and know that none of you are alone. We will be praying for you.
