Willie James Wilson Jr. was the firstborn in the union between Willie James Sr. and Mary Frances Wilson. He attended Cleveland public schools where he excelled in all subjects. He was a Boy Scout and a member of the Boys Choir. He was a very competitive wrestler while attending Max Hayes High school. He also graduated in the top 10 of his class.
After completing high school, he joined the Air Force where he became an Air Traffic Controller for six years. After leaving the Air Force he went on to join the Cleveland Fire Department. While working for the Fire Department he served as an EMS technician and a firefighter. After serving a total of 26 years Willie retired as Lieutenant Fire Inspector.
Willie often quoted “The devil can’t dance on my watch”. He believed that his prayers not only protected him but the men who served alongside him. So, it was no surprise when his next adventure led Him to One Accord Bible Institute where he diligently studied for the next 4years.
In 2019 Willie not only graduated receiving his Associates Chaplain Certification but also his Biblical Theology Diploma. In 2020 during the Pandemic Willie James started the Screaming Eagles Ministry. It is here where his mission became clear. His goal was to win as many souls as possible to Christ. Willie would pray for and with all who wanted it. He invested in those whom he knew as well as strangers. He taught bible classes to young and old. He loved the Lord and the Bible. Willie was an avid reader. He loved sports, Ponies, high performance cars, nice clothes and HIS FAMILY.
Willie leaves to mourn his sisters and brothers: Dianne Maddox, Carmen Wilson, Quintina McCoy (Tyrone), Sharon Cistrunk (Dennis) Alice Jeffries, Irayna Wilson, Anthony Wilson, Princeton Wilson, Major Wilson, and Dwayne Wilson.
