Willie Mae Carter aka Butta Ball was born on November 26, 1919, in Demopolis, Alabama to the union of Late Dora Sims and Henry Rowser.
Willie Mae Carter retired after 44 years from Goodrich Tire and Rubber Company. She was a very funny and passionate person who loved her family, puzzles, as well as the Cleveland Indians. She kept season tickets for over 20 years.
Willie Mae was preceded in death by her husband James W. Carter, Sr. and great-great-grandson, Tymaine Thompson, Jr.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her son James W. Carter, Jr. daughter, Diane Carter who are both from Akron, OH; grandchildren, Damicka Carter (Higgins) and James Taylor; great-grandchildren, Destanie Carter, Warren McCray, Tommy Higgins III, James Higgins and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
